- voestalpine Böhler Welding A 73 G 2 0.045" Dia X 39" Hard Facing TIG Welding Rod comes in a 22 lb package and can be used for highly wear resistant buildups on machine parts and tools. Welding rod is subject to heavy abrasion and compression combined with moderate impact at elevated temperatures. Feature machinable by grinding or with tungsten carbide tools and copper coated wire for highly wear resistant build-ups on hot and cold working tools. Welding rod provides hardness from 53 - 58 HRC and is suited for back centers, gripping pliers, gliding and guiding surfaces. It can be used for forging tools, roll mandrels, hot trimming knives, mangle and axial rolls as well as for the production of high-quality working surfaces by cladding non/low-alloy base material. TIG rod offer high hardness, toughness, heat resistance. It meets DIN 8555: W/MSG 3-GZ-55-ST, EN 14700 : S Z Fe8 standards.
