- The Mid-weight FR Balaclava DuPont™ Nomex® Knit Hood provides you with comfortable and warm FR and arc flash protection. The mod acrylic blend fiber is inherently FR and has an arc rating of 16 cal/cm². This FR balaclava is double-knit for flexible, comfort and gives you full PPE CAT Level 2 protection. It's compliant with NFPA 70E, OHSA 1910.269, ATSM F1506 for Arc Flash and CSA Z462 for Arc Flash.
