- Lincoln Electric® Wearshield® BU 5/32" Dia X 14" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a 10 lb cardboard carton and features build with average hardness that provides resistant to shock and metal-to-metal wear as in rolling and sliding. Electrode can be used on mild and low alloy steels. Electrode with preheated unlimited layers renders proper interpass temperatures and procedures. It can be used as a underbase or as final overlay on forged parts for other hard facing deposits. It is designed to weld in flat as well as horizontal welding positions. Electrode can be used to build up with worn steel parts that produce tough, forgeable, machinable surfaces of average hardness. It find its applications in build up such as shovel and bucket lips, pump impellers and housings, pulverizer plows and mill hammers. It is perfect for hard facing like trunions, tractor rolls, cranes and gears.
