- Lincoln Electric® Wearshield® ME 5/32" Dia X 14" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a 10 lb cardboard carton and provides higher resistant to abrasion. Electrode can be used on carbon and low alloy, austenitic manganese and stainless steels. Electrode with low dilution weld metal produces eutectic mix of chromium carbides and austenite with limited primary carbides. Electrode features high alloys to offer chrome carbides/austenite and is designed to weld in flat as well as horizontal positions. Limited 2-4 layer electrode with high dilution on mild or low alloy steel base metal produces higher toughness. It delivers high operator appeal by using drag technique and is perfect for downhand welding. It finds applications in Muller tires, augers, bucket teeth and dozer blades.
