Item Details
- STOODY® Build-Up® LH 1/8" Dia X 14" Hard Facing Electrode comes in a 10 lb vac pak and has a particular low hydrogen coating that offers high strength fusion bond on carbon and low alloy steels. Electrode is ideal for tractor rollers, steel shovel pads, tractor and shovel idlers, gear teeth, pockets and shafts. It provides a weld deposit with great compressive strength that is capable of absorbing heavy impact or compressive loads. It can be forged at red heat and can be applied in multiple layers without cracking, spalling or mushrooming. Electrode is machinable in the as-welded condition with reasonable procedural care. It is used as a base alloy for hard facing overlays or for restoring worn parts to original dimensions. Deposit is a low alloy steel that is suitable for low severity metal-to-metal wear. All-position electrode works on AC or DC.
